KA Bandara Soekarno-Hatta (SHIA Railink) merupakan KA Bandara kedua yang dioperasikan di Indonesia setelah Airport Railink Service (ARS) Kualanamu, Medan. KA ini menghubungkan Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta dengan pusat kota Jakarta melalui Stasiun Sudirman Baru atau BNI City. Nantinya, tepatnya tahun 2019 kereta ini akan menghubungkan Stasiun Manggarai Sentral ke Bandara Soekarno-Hatta dengan perhentian di Stasiun BNI City, Stasiun Duri, dan Stasiun Batuceper. Tarifnya adalah Rp70.000 sekali perjalanan. Rangkaiannya menggunakan kereta rel listrik buatan PT INKA Madiun yang bekerjasama dengan pabrikan kereta api asal Kanada, Bombardier.

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train (SHIA Railink) is the second airport train that operates in Indonesia, after Medan's ARS Kualanamu train. This train connects Soekarno-Hatta Intl' Airport to Sudirman Baru Station or BNI City Station in Downtown Jakarta. In 2019, this train will depart from Manggarai Central Station (under construction) to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, stopping at BNI City, Duri, and Batuceper Station. It's ticket fare is IDR 70,000. The rolling stock was made by Indonesian rolling stock manufacturer, PT INKA that cooperates with Canadian manufacturer, Bombardier.

Selasa, 26 Desember 2017, saya mendapat kabar bahwa KA Bandara Soekarno-Hatta mulai dioperasikan, dengan tarif promo 30.000 rupiah. Langsung saja, saya merencanakan perjalanan menjajal kereta baru ini, karena tarifnya akan naik pada tanggal 2 Januari 2018. Keesokan harinya, saya menuju Stasiun Sudirman Baru (BNI City) menggunakan KRL Commuter Line ke Stasiun Sudirman, dilanjutkan jalan kaki sekitar 300 meter ke arah barat menuju Stasiun Sudirman Baru.

Tuesday, December 26th, 2017, I got a news that Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train begins it's service, with a special fare, only IDR 30,000. Immediately, I planned my trip to ride this brand new train, because on January 2nd, 2018, the fare will be IDR 70,000. The next day, I went to Sudirman Baru Station (BNI City) by KRL Commuter Line, then a 300 meters walk to the west towards Sudirman Baru Station.

Alur penumpang di stasiun Sudirman Baru adalah sebagai berikut:
Lobby drop off  →  Lantai 3 (mesin tiket, ruang tunggu eksekutif, toilet, dan kios) → Lantai 2 (ruang tunggu, musala, gate tap in dan tap out) → Lantai 1 (peron)

Saat saya tiba di hall utama Stasiun Sudirman Baru (lantai 3), suasananya sangat ramai, kebanyakan yang sekedar ingin mencoba (termasuk saya). Saya langsung menuju vending machine yang tersedia dan langsung memasukkan data email dan nomor telepon untuk memesan tiket dengan pembayaran menggunakan kartu prabayar e-money. Namun vending machine error dan kata petugasnya kartu e-money belum support. Saya sempat bingung dan hampir memutuskan untuk pulang saja karena tidak punya kartu kredit yang diperlukan untuk membeli tiket kereta bandara. Tiba-tiba, saya mendapat e-mail kode booking yang saya masukkan tadi. Langsung saja saya print tiketnya. Alhamdulillah tetap jadi joyride hari itu. Namun waktu saat itu menunjukkan pukul dua siang, sementara jadwal kereta yang akan saya naiki yaitu pukul 15.51, yang berarti saya harus menunggu hampir dua jam. Sambil menunggu, saya membeli ayam KFC untuk makan siang, dilanjutkan dengan wifi-an menggunakan laptop. Wifi di stasiun ini cukup kencang sehingga enak dipakai youtube-an ataupun main game online. 

Passenger's flow in Sudirman Baru Station is the following:
Drop off lobby → 3rd floor (ticket vending machine, executive lounge, restrooms, and commercial shops) → 2nd floor (waiting room, prayer room, and tap gate) → 1st floor (train platform) 

When I just arrived at the main hall of Sudirman Baru Station (3rd floor), the place was crowded. Many people came just for trying the brand new airport train (including myself). I walked directly towards the vending machine then filled the required data (e-mail and phone number) to buy the ticket with the e-money prepaid card. Unfortunately, an error occurred in the vending machine, and one of the officers told me that my e-money card isn't supported yet. I was confused and disappointed, and almost decided to go back home. But suddenly I received an e-mail of the ticket's booking code. Immediately I printed the ticket. But that moment was 2 PM, and my train was scheduled to depart from Sudirman Baru Station at 3.51 PM, that means I must wait for almost two boring hours. While waiting the train, I bought KFC fried chicken for lunch. After that, I opened my laptop to use the station's wifi. The wifi in this station is relatively fast, and it's suitable to watch videos on youtube or play online games.

 Gedung Wisma 46 (262 m) yang sempat menjadi bangunan tertinggi di Jakarta sebelum tahun 2015. Gedung ini merupakan kantor pusat bank BNI yang terletak dekat Stasiun Sudirman Baru. Hal ini menjadikan Stasiun Sudirman Baru disebut juga Stasiun BNI City.

Sekitar pukul 15.20, saya mematikan laptop dan menuju ke musala untuk menunaikan ibadah salat ashar. Musala berada di lantai dua. Kondisi musala saat itu cukup ramai. Sayangnya, musala Stasiun Sudirman Baru tidak dilengkapi karpet, hanya sajadah seadanya. Setelah salat, saya langsung menuju gate untuk tap in karena jadwal kereta berangkat tinggal 15 menit lagi. Saat itu kondisi gate ramai sekali seperti antri sembako. Saat giliran saya tap-in, gate nya gak peka dan tidak mau membuka, padahal saya sudah tempelkan barcodenya berkali-kali. Hingga akhirnya saya meminta bantuan petugas untuk membukakan gatenya.

Around 3.20 PM, I switched off my laptop then headed towards the prayer room to pray ashar. The prayer room located on the second floor. It was crowded there. Unfortunately, there is no carpet covering the prayer room's floor, but there are only few rugs. After pray ashar, I rushed towards the gate to tap-in because the train will depart in less than 15 minutes. The gate was very very crowded and very long queue. When it was my turn to tap-in, the gate lags so I asked the officer's help to open the gate.

Finally it comes..

Kesan pertama saya saat naik ke KA bandara Soekarno-Hatta, yaitu suasana interiornya mirip kereta eksekutif buatan PT INKA tahun 2016, dan suara saat pintu membuka mengingatkan saya dengan kereta bandara milik negeri jiran, KLIA Ekspres. Sayangnya, karena penumpangnya saat itu kebanyakan emak-emak bawa anaknya, begitu pintu dibuka, ya begitu deh. Berisik dan ribut berebut tempat duduk, padahal semuanya dapat tempat duduk. Alhasil, KA bandara rasa KA lokal atau KRL Commuter Line di Tanahabang saat akhir pekan.

My first impression with this train is, it's interior atmosphere is like 2016 executive cars made by PT INKA, and the sound when the doors opening reminds me with neighbor's airport train, the KLIA Express. Because the passengers are mainly women traveling with children, the atmosphere became so noisy because they are rushing for seats, even though each passengers will have one seat. As a result, this train felt like a suburban local train or a Commuter Line train at weekend.

Nomor seri kereta saya. Artinya: K1 (kereta penumpang kelas 1) 1 (tenaga penggerak listrik) 17 (buatan tahun 2017) 61 (urutan ke-61).

KA bandara yang saya naiki berangkat dari Sudirman Baru tepat pukul 15.51. KA melaju sekitar 40-50 km/jam antara stasiun Sudirman Baru hingga Duri. Di Stasiun Duri, KA berhenti sekitar 6 menit karena harus berbalik arah untuk menuju Stasiun Batuceper hingga Bandara Soekarno-Hatta. Antara Stasiun Duri hingga Rawa Buaya KA melaju 60-70 km/jam, seperti KRL Commuter Line. Selepas stasiun Rawa Buaya, KA melambat dikarenakan di depannya ada KRL Commuter Line tujuan Tangerang. KA tiba di Stasiun Batuceper pukul 16.32. Setelah Stasiun Batuceper, KA hanya melaju sekitar 45 km/jam dikarenakan jalurnya masih baru. KA tiba di Bandara Soekarno-Hatta pukul 16.50, telat dua menit dari jadwal.

KA ini cukup nyaman, AC nya adem, interiornya wangi, kursi ergonomis, guncangan yang cukup minim, dan kekedapan suara yang baik sehingga tidak seberisik KRL Commuter Line atau KA Jarak Jauh. KA inijuga memiliki dua charging port setiap kursi. Hanya saja kecepatannya (max 75 km/jam, rata2 40 km/jam) yang menurut saya terlalu pelan untuk sebuah KA bandara. Masih kalah dengan KA-KA bandara milik tetangga yang pernah saya naiki seperti KLIA Express (max 160 km/jam, rata2 120 km/jam) dan ARL Suvarnabhumi (max 120 km/jam, rata2 65 km/jam). Saran saya bagi anda yang ingin mengejar penerbangan menggunakan KA Bandara, sebaiknya melihat jadwalnya terlebih dahulu di web www.railink.co.id karena pada waktu tertentu kereta ini tidak tersedia selama dua jam seperti yang saya alami.

The train I rode departs from Sudirman Baru Station at 3.51 PM. The train travelled at 40-50 km/h between Sudirman Baru and Duri station. In Duri station, the train stopped for 6 minutes because it has to reverse its facing before moving towards Batuceper station and Soekarno-Hatta airport. Between Duri and Rawa Buaya station, the train travelled at 60-70 km/h, as same as Commuter Line's operating speed. After Rawa Buaya station, the train lowered its speed because there's a Commuter Line train in front of it. The train arrived in Batuceper station at 4.32 PM. After Batuceper station, the train travelled slowly, only around 45 km/h due to the newly built tracks. The train arrived at Soekarno-Hatta airport at 4.50 PM, two minutes late from its schedule.

IMO, this train is relatively comfortable, its AC is cold, it has ergonomic seats, fragrant interior, smooth bogie, and it's quite silent. It also has two charging ports on each seat. But, the train's operating speed is relatively slow for an airport train (max 75 km/h, avg 40 km/h). It's so far slower than neighbor's airport train, such as KLIA Express (max 160 km/h, avg 120 km/h) and ARL Suvarnabhumi (max 120 km/h, avg 65 km/h). My advice for you who gonna catch a flight with this train, you should check the train's timetable on www.railink.co.id because in several times, this train is only available in the next two hours.

When the train stopped at Duri station, the driver and his assistant move to the other driving cab because the train will reverse its facing. The driver wears suit & tie, cap, and white gloves, similar to Japanese train drivers.

From Train Station to Terminal 3 with Skytrain
Sesampainya di Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, saya langsung menuju Terminal 3 Ultimate menggunakan kalayang (skytrain) yang disediakan gratis oleh pengelola bandara. Dari gate stasiun KA, kita harus berjalan kaki sekitar 100 meter untuk mencapai halte kalayang. Dikarenakan belum beroperasi secara maksimal, saya harus menunggu sekitar 15 menit sebelum kalayang menuju Terminal 3 datang.

As I arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Intl' Airport, I moved towards Terminal 3 using free-of-charge skytrain that provided by the airport management. We must walk about 100 meters from the train station to skytrain shelter. Because it wasn't fully operated yet, I must wait for 15 minutes before the skytrain to Terminal 3 arrives.

 Kalayang Bandara Soekarno-Hatta masih dioperasikan oleh pengemudi. Nantinya kalayang ini akan beroperasi tanpa pengemudi.
